Packaging for this market covers a broad scope of products and materials and is dependent on the particular niche and the competition. Folding carton is prevalent in secondary packaging (the box that encases a tube or bottle) whereas corrugated board competes with injected plastic in the area of counter and floor displays.
Depending on the tier (price point) some packaging can appear simple and plain – doing exactly what is necessary to present a brand’s image. Other packaging may require embossing and foil stamping to create a more elegant and/or classic look and feel.
