The range for this category is vast and we create and manufacture various packages for products such as tools.
Three simple elements help to elevate products in hardware packaging. They are easy identification of brand, clear view of product and ease, or in some cases, not so easy access to the product in the package.
The consumer shopping in this category usually is shopping on an as needed basis and that need is close to immediate. Therefore it is imperative that the brand identity stands out on the package and is strongly reflective and/or tied in to that brand's image and message.
Next, the product needs a strong visual representation whether it is a photograph or a plastic window allowing the consumer to view the product.
Last, we sometimes need to design packaging that appears to prevent pilferage and other times not. Some products are in a medium or lower range tier but can look higher end if consumers are allowed to see, touch and grasp the product while it is still in the package and prior to purchasing it. Certain structures allow for this actually are key in the sales of many products in the hardware industry.
